Ever wonder what the most valuable company in your state is?

Well FindTheCompany, a company research engine, analyzed major public companies in all 50 U.S. states and came back with some interesting results.

The Last Frontier, also appropriately ranked #49th, featured General Communications Inc. or GCI, which came in at a whopping value of $623 million. That’s almost four times as much as the lowest ranked publicly traded company residing in Wyoming, Cloud Energy peak Inc., which came in at only $165 million. Alaska and Wyoming were the only two states to have their highest valued companies in the millions of dollars.

The other 48 states all had companies with revenues in the billions of dollars. Apple Inc. in California took the top most valued publicly traded company worth a staggering $547 billion.

Sounds like Alaska and Wyoming have a lot of potential for entrepreneurial growth. Now to find that big idea..
